The Great Reveal!

I dropped a hint or two about a little remodeling plan we had for the Beast.  After looking and not really finding a new coach we really loved, we decided that we loved out Beast, it's got good bones and a good (knock on wood!) engine and is generally reliable.

So we did a little refreshing and upgrading.  So what did we do?
The furniture, shades and valances were ordered by Countryside Interiors.  They were nice, but nothing was ready when we arrived for our scheduled date.  I love the end result, so a little waiting was worth it and small potatoes in the big scheme of things.  The residential fridge, new dining lighting and faucet was done by Oregon Motorcoach Center.  They are an organized, clean facility with a real nice waiting room.  Definitely recommended!

Eugene Oregon....How to spend the days.....

We are stuck in Eugene Oregon for the second time in a month.  Trying to fill the days we have lots of time to kill...

Hendricks Park has lots of short walking paths and an amazing Rhododendron garden.  It was a beautiful cloudy day, perfect for a nice walk.

What are we doing?

Playing at the little dog park

Lots of little dogs at the little dog park

Little Dog Corner is only for little dogs

We have found lots of things to do to kill the time.  The little dog corner is a great dog park for 25 pounds and under.  Our little pups have really had a good time there running after being stuck with us in the car.  The Little Dog Corner is a non-profit, a volunteer run area.  The group had to pay for their little half acre, the fencing to section it off from the big dog area and provide all the doggie bags and trash bags.

The Raptor Center accepts injured raptors from all over the area.  It is also a non-profit with a reasonable donation of $8.00.  They have done a wonderful job of creating large enclosures.  We watched an owl eyeball a little mouse running in and out of it's enclosure.  He was just curious so they must be well fed.

Our quarterly allotment of wine was ready for pick up at Duck Pond in Dundee, a short 2 hour drive away.  We took the back roads and enjoyed stops at farm stands for fresh fruits and veggies (and Umpqua Bordeaux Cherry ice cream!).  The weather was perfect for a drive.

Lavender Lake Farms
I saw the sign and had to pull over.  I got a little lavender plant for our lot, some lavender lemon tea, and some buds for sachets.  I love lavender, so I was in heaven.

We have enjoyed eating salads from Trader Joes while enjoying the sunshine (and some rain!) at parks and little dinners out.  We did some Father's Day shopping for Eric, and have hit Jerry's Home Improvement store every day.  Things are hard to get on the coast, so we have been stocking up on our shopping.

I am hoping (fingers, toes, etc are crossed!) that Friday will be our last day here and we can get back to the coast and my beautiful view of the ocean.  It has been a busy two weeks!
