Rainy Days and Mondays

The temperature has really dropped with a high of 55 with 100% humidity.  Today was an inside day, doing odd chores that you forget to do often.  The refrigerator/freezer got defrosted and cleaned out, Eric cleaned the vents and fans.  We watched the Red Sox play the Yankees Saturday and Sunday and we are watching them play the Giants tonight.  We watched the Broncos get beat by Seattle.  Very peaceful.  Life is Good!  We are one of three RV's in the park, a quick drastic drop off from a week ago.  (Make that four as one just pulled in!)  It must be fall!

We have enjoyed our stay here, wandering around Old Kenai, watching the Eagles and Ravens soar and float on the bluff below us.  Since we haven't done anything really exciting I thought I would post some of the photos we've taken here.  I know it's kinda like watching your neighbors vacation slides but bear with me...

A Dr. Seuss Tree

Guess they forgot this part of the instructions at the rental company

I stole these berries for my breakfast.  Yummy!

The raspberry bushes are just too close for temptation

Mowgli at school

The Beast on a sunny day

More beach combing

Our view of the Kenai River Inlet

An eagle in the tree in front of the Beast

A Glacier across the inlet

Fireweed

Is that a skunk?  No, it's just Mowgli relaxing in the grass

Boats on the water at low tide

I never get tired of watching the Eagles

Eagle soaring above the Beast

Last night the water was like glass

Today it was high waves

  2. When you go to Valdez, be sure to go to Solomon Gulch out of town. Another amazing sight of Salmon running. although not sure if they are still there by this time of the year.
