Museum of the North, Fairbanks Alaska

This museum is a great way to spend a day.  They have movies on the Winter Life in Fairbanks (Did you know it doesn't really get cold here until -40?)  Its a dry cold they say.  Really, they say it in the movie.  The Northern Lights was a great 30 minute movie on the science of the lights.  Beautiful.  We found a website that rates each nights chances of seeing them on a scale of 1-9.  Tomorrow night is a 3.  Maybe we'll set the clock, but I doubt I'll get up.

After the museum we wandered around for a bit looking for a place to eat.  We ended up at Silver Gulch Brewery where we ate bar food and drank beer of course.  It was way out of town and looked a little sketchy, but it was good food.  On the way back we stopped to look at the road side Pipeline exhibit.  Very interesting stuff.

After a full day, its time to relax.  The Farmers Market is opening tomorrow.  Unless they have a greenhouse, I'm not sure what they will have....
